I bought a brand new black berry storm in the month of February at 20k, the intention to buy one of these phones is for it is perceived as a superior brand and it has a better and bigger display. I like reading and working with documents over the phone and hence I purchased from one of the dealer. It was all fine till I realized that it does not support viewing/opening the native PDF files in the phone, with lots of time and energy I figured out its possible only if the BB services are active on the phone from the service provider and all other 3rd party software is nothing less than 50 USD which is 2300 to 2500 INR. I do not want to subscribe or buy software because its very costly and I do not use the internet that excessively while I am comfortable with my laptop.
The point is BB being one of the prestigious brands why should not you give the easy, simple and cost free option to the buyer like me with this, while the same is available for free with nokia, Samsung, LG, HTC and others. It just looks silly to block the user from this option.

this is to inform you that my cell phone is below expectation in performance and ability
the battery life is less than a day , it repeatedly hangs up and has poor voice quality
(on aircell and vodafone network).
from the day i have purchased a month after that i have made complaints to the shop and they asked me to contact the service center after many irrelevant advices for my problem
the service center on infantry road bangalore does not receive any phone calls .
finally i decided to go there and they are reluctant to listen to my complaints stating that they are overworked and overcrowded.
i finally deposit my handset but i dont get a replacement set (reason being they are all out of it)

currently at IIPM and almost every person at IIPM has been using the blackberry
services. My Blackberry services on Airtel abruptly failed yesterday in the
evening without any notification or prior alert. The browser, the messenger
and all other Blackberry applications are out of order and that too at the
time when I need them most since we operate only through Blackberry at IIPM. As
a process I called up the customer care no. and then later 7070 assuming that
things will reshape soon. But as a poor irony, no one till the last minute from
last evening has taken my call so that I can express my concern and this only
shows how the services executives are the way they are. I had no other option
but to e-mail my concern.
Irrespective of any action whether taken or not, I at least expect my grievance
to be addressed and solved as early as possible so that I don’t have to run
pillar to post and my work doesn’t suffer!! Kindly look into the matter very

i have purchased blackberry curve 8900 on 25th June 2010 from the mobile store in Kolkata near Amarpally.For quite a some days i have some problems regarding ther lock functions but suddenly on 5th August once i switch off the phone it have not started by pressing the power red key .i opened the battery & tried to start but it happened only once but after that nothing came on the screen. i took it to the customer care which is in lansdawn street.they asked me to keep the phone & also mentioned that if there is any problem in the motherboard i have to pay 85% of the mobile’s value..i have only used the phone for 1 month and i still don’t know the functions quite well……the phone is damaged.

I have taken BB 8900 Curve. this is the worst mobile in my life. Please dont take this mobile because it has a hardware issue. n no is going to solve this issue.
I have one 8320 and one 8220. The first will not charge with the wall charger (only car charger) and the second will not turn Bluetooth on. My solution: I replaced them with other brands. All is good now.

I brought my BB bold 9700 from US and started using on Vodafone voice service. Everything seems fine. Last week I got the blacberry service activated, but it did not work.
Vodafone CC asked me to register the BB. Even after multiple times. no luck.

I am using BB storm 9530, its the worst product i have ever seen and used. The touch pad is not responsive at all. i am finding it difficult to use the mobile for typing even a single word! BB being a world class company should recall this product and replace it with either touch screen or keypad. And Bangalore service center is the worst service provider too, they dont receive calls and the whole center is dependent on single PC!!!
If this kinds of products and services continue from BB,its gonna lose customer to local players also!

Your’re right Anupam, even i am facing the similar issues with Blackberry Storm. Since the day i bought the phone, i am completely pissed off with its performance. I bought the phone from one of the croma stores here in ghaziabad. I was delighted with the instant services provided to me with a great offer where i even won a PSP and +2 years warranty and a service centre number as they cannot help me after it is being sold.
From here on, the problems started. The phone gets hanged up if processing goes slow. I have been receiving emails constantly on my official email address + i have couple of applications run at times like linkedIn, facebook, and some comman BB services. I have to use them but with there usage it has become ineffective mostly. Then one of my friend suggested me to change or download the new OS that company sents to us on periodically through their software. Though i haven’t received it yet but it looks to a good suggestion.
The other problem is the battery life. It doesn’t last more than 9 hours. I have to keep it on charge most often. The solution to this problem was to change the battery.
The fearest thing i was hit was its customer service center in Okhla. Croma gave me some numbers to contact them about the issues or by any chance any replacement can be done as it has a 3year warranty period. But, my hard luck, as when i called them it looks like i called to a govt agency where no one takes an ownership to help the customers instead pushing it some other departments.
Looking at their response to you, i fear going to them so far as it seems that their is no solution anywhere. Its such a big organization and it does not have any proper CSDs to help us.
Now, i am looking for series of options that i can put to make my phone more effective as i like the phone and simply cannot discard it. This has set my expectation very high and i will fight to retain that.
If some one can help me doing that then it will be great and i will be thankful to him.
Yes Punit, the blackberry torch hangs a lot.The reviews are not good. I would recommend replacing it now and opt another smart phone or android if you can. You will be amazed by it performance and will what features outpast blackberry with android.
The biggest drawback with blackerrys is that they do not have a customised customer services in India. What anupam and i faced is i guess similar everywhere. So Murli, i wish you luck if you can get some to help you in Hyderabad.

I had given my hand set of blackberry 8320 phone to Vodafone store located at Prabhadevi store on 15-09-2010 and the issuer name is Mr. Ravi and the Job sheet number is 64.
The problem was .
1. My Track ball not working down wards intermediately.
2. Network congestions while roaming
3. Battery drained up after 1 to 2hrs talk time.
they accepted the phone for the above complaints. And they promise me to call after 14 days to give the status.
I never received the call from you and I went to the store to see the status. Your executive Mr. Ravi he is so arrogant and told me that your mobile is out of warranty and you have to pay Rs 815 for the inspection charges. So I asked for the reason and he told it is water logging so your phone is void for warranty.
I spoke to the store manger a lady executive (Shivali)she promised me to send the mail regarding the warranty issues Till today I had not received any mail and i am tried calling the store number. They never pick up the phone. If I try more than twice they just turn off the mobile or send the busy tone.
I work in the office. I will never go for the field job or I never ride a motorcycle, I never went in the rain. How my mobile get water logged. This problem was before the monsoon.
My whole work is held up with no mails nothing. So I fed up and went to store on 07-Oct-10 and paid the inspection charges. Mr ravi promised me to give mobile after 2 days i.e. on 09-Oct-10 after his confirmation. He called me on Monday i.e. on 11-Oct-10 told me to collect the mobile. I Had informed him earlier that I stay at Vashi. So I went on Wednesday i.e 13-Oct-10 to collect it. I was surprised and shocked to see my phone. It was in the worst condition.
He said you will receive the mobile as it where is condition. No work will be done.
Buttons of my mobile totally pressed and it is non operative and trackball is very hard and it not moving. And they had reset the mobile and now it is totally non-useable mobile.
If the phone is warranty void.
1. They are supposed to send back mobile as it where is condition.
2. Why They had tampered my software and it is not functioning.
3. Why my keys are pressed and assembled in the bad manner.
The executive told me he will repair and restore it to the earlier condition and he will let me know by evening.
I am requesting you to give my mobile back as it where is condition within this 3 Working days.

I have purchased a Black Berry Model no. 8520 on dt. 24.07.2010. It gives problem since 07.11.2010. I had approached to your service center at HISAR (HARYANA) namely Shri Balaji Communication and deposited the handset on dt. 08.11.2010 vide the memo no. 1973.
Till date, the service center personals give me next day, next day and again next day. I’m very frustrate to their reply. I’m surprised the how the customer will suffer after purchasing a world renowned product by your service provider.

I got a Black Berry 9700 Bold in Sept. last. From the day one i am facing a voice cracking problem, most of time no doen’t connect in 1st dial. And now 2 moths old mobile is not working. With deep disappointment and anguish, I am constrain to write this letter.
I have purchased Black Berry mobile handset (Model No. : 8900, Pin No. 224CF752) which, somehow, developed problem in the ear speaker. I have deposited the set for repair with M/s Redington (India) Limited, Khurana Brothers, R-51, Main Vikas Marg, Near Manglam Building, Above Hot Spot, Sakarpur, New Delhi – 110 092, and was issued complaint no. 1274, dated 17th September, 2011 (copy enclosed for your ready reference), at around 1751 hours.
I was assured of a resolution within seven days, for which the vendor also charged me Rs 650/=. However, in spite of passage of more than 20 days, I have not received my handset back. Upon repeated reminders, I have been informed that they have shutdown their office and moved to Janak Puri. I think such fraud and unprofessional agencies should not be the part of Black Berry. I want a serious action to be taken against this Agency, before I proceed for consumer court.

I had purchased Blackberry Bold 9700 handset from Dealsandyou website marketed by Ritco Marketing group,Delhi in India.
Since the day i purchased, had issues in configuring emails. Enabled the plan with vodafone and airtel to check on this, but unfortunately the “edge” icon is not getting displayed in CAPS and the ‘email setup’ icon is not displayed in the ‘setup’ option.
Further to this, I had raised this issue with the seller (dealsandyou & Ritco) but they are not helping out in this regard.
These sellers and website guys are cheating customers and request everyone not to buy these products and end up facing issues and nobody will support on this, neither the product guy nor the seller.
Hoping that some action will be taken against these sellers after posting here.

I had purchased a blackberry curve handset which has a battery problem. I have also given the set at your service station but the problem is not yet solved. The set was recently purchased and developed such a problem. I think the battery in the handset was duplicate and that is why such a problem has arised. The handsets of blackberry are known for its quality and are also premium products compared to any other brand. Customer like me purchases such a product for his convenience and such a duplicity happens than what can be done. I would appeal the company to kindly look into the matter and do the needful.
Also would like the company to check if their is any fraudulent happening.

I had called Vodafone Customer care they were telling that the Blackberry services are activated but the Blackberry phone is not registered in Blackberry server.
Please assist me how to register my Blackberry 9530 phone so i can use my Blackberry services.

I am a very delight customer of Blackberry smart phone. I am already
having 10 handsets in my family.I wish to inform you that, I am very
disappointed with the services offered by the blackberry services.I
fail to understand that RIM being the key player in International
market is being failed to satisfy the customers in the Indian market.
I have given the blackberry 9780 model to the SRI VINAYAKA
ELECTRONICS, Hyderabad four times since I have puchased the phone in
june 2011 for the same complained.(You would have the record as I have
been submitting it to the same agent). The agent has also seen that
every time the phone is brought back it is sealed. The screen is
completely getting blank. In the first instance my complete data was
also lost. I am a bussiness man and I hope you understand the
importance of the data .
I fail to understand such poor customer service from a international
company
I was delivered the faulty handset by the service center 3 times
during this period, but every time i had to return the handset to the
company for the same problem. How can the handset be returned form the
company to the customer 3 times without being repaired ? ?
Apart from this, there is no follow up for the customers, If it is
taking extra time from the committed time, then the company must
inform us.
For last 15 days agent has been saying that he has already spoken to the zonal head and he assured tht the fault would be rectified but now he says tht the company not ready to rectify the problem under warranty. He also intially said tht the delay was due to stopped prod in the current model.If the company is not able to rectify the fault and then putting it back on to the customer , is absolutely not expected from a reputed company like BB.If they were water traces found how come the same problem has been repeated for 3 times in last 6 months. I normally keep my phone with utmost care and still cant understand what the company wants me to belive.
I want you to take the necessary strict action & deliver the phone at
your earliest or else refund the amount of my handset or at least give me an option to buy another handset if the model is closed by paying the difference amount. If i would be aware of such type of customer services being offered by RIM, then i would never take the handset & nor recommend anyone.

Also I have been repeatedly asking the agent for zonal heads number but he doesnot want to give it , which i really cant undersatnd why. So if Mr jagadesh you are the concern person then mail me your number or call me on 99851 72000
