i have purchase a split AC virtus plus 1.5 ton on 25 march 2010 and was installed on 28th march by your authorised centre M/s JCM Jammu, but Ac was noit working propely i have complaint to M/s JCM and customer care of voltas also but no body give any response. There is a water leakage in the indoor unit. The M/s JCM tells they have no time to attend my complaint and the customer care allot the work to other engineer he says that this is not my area. So kindly suggest me what can i do. Otherwise i will go to consumer court.
My Voltas window AC is not working. I have been trying the toll free number for last 8 days but not able to reach further. I even called the service centre number in East Delhi and they say that service centre will not do anything.
Can anyone help ? The AC is still under warranty.

i went to buy voltas ac from sham lal coy in delhi cantt,sadar bazaar ,tele no 01125693450,01125692986.i paid advance of 1000 rs and went again the next day on 21 apr and was not satified with their respose and wanted to take more time whether to buy from them.they started arguing and wanted me to write why i was refusing to buy ac.they refused to give my money back and said me to go.

Respected Sir/Ma’m,
I’m Kalyanaraman , a 61 year old resident of Chennai -Rajakilpakkam .I’m a retired person with no sufficient savings & I’m not economically rich enough to afford an Air Conditioner. Still I decided to purchase a split AC ,as I’m unable to withstand the heat wave , due to my physical condition & my age ; I chose to buy the 2 star rated,Voltas ‘Vertis Elite S Split – type AC’ ,(unit SL. No. 4551147G10A008195) ,with capacity of 1.5 tons ; due to the long-standing ,reliable name of ‘Voltas’ products.
I purchased the said Voltas AC unit form ‘Amudha & Co.’, Tambaram on 11/4/2010. (Bill No. 490).The unit was installed on 15/4/2020 (by Voltas technician Mr.Moorthy), after getting ‘copper tube’, which was not found in the packaging.
I was feeling proud that night, that I would be sleeping in an ‘AC Room’ every day & I was very happy that my health problems due to the ‘heat wave’ would be over. I had never enjoyed an AC, till this age of 61 & all my hopes were crashed when the Voltas AC didn’t give the required chillness even after 8 hours of functioning & even after keeping the unit at temperature of 16 C .
Much dejected, I made a complaint to the Voltas Service Center
(Ph. No. 044-64541138), & my Call No. is 5738.After frequent calls, the Service Engineer (Mr. Kothandam) checked the AC unit on 19.4.2010 & found that the Outer unit didn’t have enough gas & filled it, & promised me that the AC will function normally ,& said full cooling of the room will be achieved after 1 hour of operation.
The AC was On from 6.30 pm evening till 9.30 pm; Still I was very worried that the said cooling was not achieved even after 3 hours (referring the Service Engineer’s report); But I was very alarmed when intermittent, heavy sound started coming from the outdoor unit by 9.30 pm & switched Off the AC in fear.
I once again brief you that I’m not a rich person & I’ve purchased the Voltas AC from my hard-earned money (for about Rs.25, 000); I bought the Voltas AC mainly due to the reputation of the Voltas Company.
But after 8 days after the installation, & even after checking & repair by your service engineer, I’m not even able to have peace of mind due to the faulty functioning of the AC.
As the AC bought by me, is giving much trouble from the date of installation, & even after repair, I request you to kindly replace the existing troublesome/faulty unit, with a new Ac in good working condition.
I hope that yourself & your reputed company will listen to my pleas & would be considerate to provide peace & hope for an aged, retired person like me. I implore you to provide me with a good AC, soon enough, as I’m unable to face the heat.

We have purchased a voltas vertis 1 ton a/c from Vasanth & co chennai on 3/05/2009.
within a few months of our purhcase (that is from 15 sept) we had the cooling problem with the a/c. It was not providing enough cool air and we lodged a complaint to Chennai cool care who are the service agent to our a/c. The first complaint was attended on 22nd sept hopefully the problem was rectified. Last month we had a major problem with the a/c. The coolant water started dripping inside and the a/c showed error numbers like E 5… The a/c completly pulled off its service and we are repeatedly complaining to the service agent. Much to our disappointment and after regular visits of the mechanic our a/c is not still working. Chennai cool care started changing the spare parts of our a/c one by one. Finally they said that the circuit board is the major problem. They assured that they will send us a new circuit board. But we found out that they are sending only boards which are not functioning (even once they soldered our initial board and send it with the mechanic). The service is very poor. We are suffering almost a month without a/c in this extreme summer. We request the voltas service center to replace us with a new a/c unit. We hope that the service center will take immediate step to sort our problem out.

Voltas is one of the worst company what i have experience i have purchase window a/c vertis plus and I am chasing from post to pillar to get my ac inspected by the company technician i would have called there customer care end number of time half of the customer care executive are not educated enough to handle or to help customer they dont even care about customer problem or compalint they have a standard answer some one eill attaend you shortly but no body really turns up this is some thing really starnge those dont even provide co email id where customer can registered there complaint if this forum can really help someone from the curse of voltas kinly take my complaint and do the need full ,i guess voltas company is very busy fooling new customer

I have purchased 1 window ac 1.5 Ton Model No.VERTIS PLUS from Himani Cool point, Vizag in may 2009. In the same month only the ac not working properly, the swing also is in one diection.The direction of the swing is also oposite to bed. So many time I have given complaints, they attend and rectigied the fan motor one time and fan blade one time but the same problem is repeting every time I am giving the complaint No’s also 10FB2001478, 10AP0302655, 10AP2702180. Now the warrenty is also nearly to completing so please replace the unit because the problem is not rectifing it is repeting every time. So once again request you to replace the unit other wise I will no other option to go to consumer form.
We have purchased three Airconditioners from M/S Rajpal Marketing (P) Ltd. Opp.Govt.Inter college ,Begum Bridge Road. on 11.04.2010 . He being well known to one of our family friends we have given him full liberty to send two window 1.5 ton ACs and one 2 ton Split AC. It seems he has taken advantage of it and since I was away on official trip he has sent damaged and broken internal unit of split AC and installed it also Moreover the allignment of external unit is also not proper the window ACs are also diffective He has provided us Voltas stabilisers there also he has cheated us the installed stabiliser for 2 ton AC is ment for 4 kva but by overwriting it has made 5 kva I am afraid how such areputed firm of a level of TATA group is tolerating such a dealer.Please look in to the matter and get my units replaced.

1. We are having three air conditioners of voltas of the following models: -
a. Vertis Plus
b. Vertis Plus
c. Vertis Gold
2. While operating there is a very bad smell.
3. We booked the complaint through dealer from whom we purchased the above air conditioners.
4. Mr. Ajit having mobile No. 9213922460 visited our premises and said that your air conditioner require chemical service. He said that we do two types of services, one is simple service i.e. washing by plane water and other through chemical. He said after chemical service, the smell will go. He said he will charge Rs. 800 but he is unable to explain what is the difference between simple service and chemical service and why the smell is there and how it will go out after chemical service. What is the technical part of it? What chemical will it use? Whether there is any adverse effect on the air conditioner? Kindly explain us what type of smell is it and how will it go out after chemical service.
5. After talking to Mr. Ajit mentioned above, I was not satisfied by his reply then he asked me to contact Mr. Sandesh at telephone No. 47511323. Mr. Sandesh almost repeated the same thing and no satisfactory reply was given that why our air conditioners require chemical service and how the bad smell will be stopped by chemical service.
6. Again I booked the complaint at telephone no. 18002664555 and they said they will send a person.
7. Now I want to have the following clarifications: -
a. Why there is bad smell in the air conditioners?
b. What is the difference between plane service and the chemical service?
c. How it will go out after chemical service?
d. Is there any harm in chemical service?
e. What are the charges of chemical service?
f. Whether the person who will come for chemical service is a company representative or an hired outside agency?
g. Whether he is reliable and a responsible person?
Kindly take this matter as most urgent because summer in Delhi are in full swing and at peak level and we are facing a lot of problem due to this bad smell.

I have purchased voltas vertis split window 1 tonne airconditioner from Rathna Fan House Chennai on 1st week of Feb 2010. When the Installation, I did’t see back of the AC. After 2 weeks, When I see there, it got damaged and now the aluminium thin foils start to come. When I contact the service centere, they are not able answer and very cooly telling that to change the aluminum foil, they will charge for Rs. 7000.
Hey! man, then , what do you mean by warrenty? why we are buying a warrenty product? these are unanswerable. Voltas really cheating people. I can suggest people , Please don’t buy Voltas Products, they won’t give any Service, no warrenty ( only for Sales. Even if you are going to court, we don’t get justice).
Is there is any top management people of Voltas AC , really reading this forum?
If they like to improve the business, they have to improve the Quality and Service.

outsourcing is easiest tools now a days to reduce the cost but it is also said that excess of anything is bad. Its next to impossible to reach someone who works for voltas. i bought last year 1.5 tonne AC in the month of May only because of goodwill earned by TATA’s for years. But that was the biggest mistake of mine. except cooling this AC is doing everything and you don’t have any face to whom you can interact in company. The customer service deptt has been outsourced and these agencies have least respect for satisfaction of customer. the agencies so called engineer have only one solution for every problem i.e to clean the filter. This AC has been regularly giving trouble and not working but we don’t know who will provide the solution. I fear people who manage this company will bring lot of disrepute to the name of TATA’s

The M/s Kumar TV House tells they have no time to attend my complaint and the customer care allot the work to other engineer he says that this is not my area. So kindly suggest me what can i do. i have purchased 2 voltas window acs for my room and it has been around a year and one of which is not working and when i asked the local dealer i.e ace enterprises he said that the commpressor is not working and its been some 2 to 3 months he has taken for repair but it is still not done and know a few days back my another rooms acs compressor is not working and the dealer is not responding anything.
i do have a voltas tower acs of 2 ton which i bought last year as it was new the through was very nice but know it is not at all working properly few months back i made a complaint so it was cured but know the situation is again the same and it is not at all working. hope to receive a positive feedback and quick too.

I purchased one voltas split ac on 4.7.2010 through kbm Electronics unit of kalpna biri mfg co. Vikas marg , Laxmi Nagar delhi-92 and the full payment along with installation charges of Rs.1500/- was made to them, but no arrangement has been made for the installation . Kindly clarify whether the installation is done by the company employees or by the private contractor. I have purchased Voltas Vertis plus window unit about 1 1/2 years back. On the first place no body came for free service. Just before the 1st year, I personally called for service. Immediately after the 1st service, Unit started giving problem…. Again service person was called and according to him it was working perfect. During rainy time A/C SLEEPS. Just switch it ON to confirm it works, it works but not PERFECTLY, it TRIPS. SOMETIMES IT SWITCHES BY ITSELF, WHEN OPERATED BY REMOTE IT DOESNT. I kindly request you to do something to work properly OR KINDLY CHANGE THE UNIT WITH A NEW ONE AT THE EARLIEST. JUST TO KEEP YOU INFORMED THIS IS MY 2ND WINDOW UNIT.HOPE YOU WILL TAKE THE NECESSARY ACTION ON THIS. HOPE YOU WILL NOT IGNORE THIS.

Every one i believe is complaining about the same model of air conditioner. Also all the ACs were purchased around in the month of April. I believe the entire lot is a set of defective pieces.
I am not too sure why was there no quality check before the ACs were sent to the distributers.

I had purchased a Voltas IT split AC (Vertis Gold (1)) on 26/03/2011 from the Utkal Sales, 8(P), Acharya Vihar Square, Bhubaneswar, bearing receipt sl No D 3428. It was installed on payment of installation charge of Rs 500/- (Rupees five hundred only)(Receipt sl No D 3522). But the installation was faulty and through the connected pipe water penetrated into the inner walls and windows flooding the room. I requested Utkal Sales to rectify the installation and visited their shop a number of times. All these went unheeded. I had made nearly 100 phone calls, but the technician never visited. Not even a time was fixed for his visit. My household goods were damaged. Ultimately, I had no other option but to reinstall the AC on by another technician on payment of necessary charges.
Under the circumstances, I request you to take necessary action against Utkal Sales for consumer harassment and instruct the owner to refund at least the installation charges. I have to bear with all the loss of the household commodities.
