Priya Village Roadshow also known as PVR Cinemas is a joint venture between Priya Exhibitors Private Limited and Village Road Show Limited started in the year 1995. The joint venture is 60:40 ratio and it is one among the biggest cinema chains in India. Priya Exhibitors owned the Priya Theatre in Basant and also acquired Anupam Theatre in Saket. Currently PVR has 421 screens in 97 locations in India and is planning to open 500 screens by the year 2015. It has a significance presence in New Delhi with 55 screens in 16 multiplexes. It also operates PVR Talkies, The Original PVR Cinemas and PVR Director’s Cut.
