    I had purchased HP Pavilion dv6 2159TX Laptop (S/N CNF0106LC9)on 16/05/2010 from CROMA at Lower Parel phoenix Mall, along with croma’s extended warranty for 2 yrs.
    For the first year i hardly used the laptop so didn’t came across any problem, (i.e under HP warranty) But from the very next year when i started using it regularly the laptop started giving trouble in every 3-4 months, from then till now i have given my Laptop 6 times for repairing,and every time they have kept my laptop for 15-25 days, but still they are unable to solve my problem.
    Here are the details of service centre with the problems and solution they gave:-

    6 10TH DECEMBER 2012 66808 BATTERY DRAINED,SHOWING ERROR AS NEED TO REPLACE BATTERY. AFTER KEEPING IT FOR 15 DAYS,THEY SAY THEY HAVE REPLACED THE MOTHERBOARD,BUT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT RECTIFIED,ABOVE THAT THEY ARE INSISTING ME TO PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY.

    Talking about the solution i always insisted them that its a faulty laptop kindly replace it with a new one as i need a permanent solution to this everlasting problem, but they ignored every time saying lets see what the service centre says and only then we can act upon it. And during the last two servicing they have also cheated me with a changed battery.
    Now the thing is my extended warranty is getting void on 16/05/2013,and my problem is still continuing, so where should i go with the laptop after my warranty is over , no one will respond me neither croma nor service centre.
    No one is taking any kind of responsibility, and now i am totally fed up with this repeated series of servicing i need my Laptop Replaced and that will be the best solution for such problem.
    I request you to kindly take this matter seriously and reach a favourable decision as soon as possible.

I have send my laptop 2 times to the HP service centre at jhansi and they have done the calibration of my battery but still i m getting the battery backup of only 1 nd half hour..Plz respond to my problem..     Subject: Complaint of forgery, by HP authorized service centre Pondicherry, India.

    Dear Sir/Madam
    I have HP Laptop presario C700 [Sr. no. CND817380S], which was under extended warranty till July 2011. As I wanted to extend my laptop warranty further, in Aug 2011, I went to an authorized service centre in Pondicherry, India i.e. MAHA Electronic Pvt. Ltd. Here I got HP care pack (Copy Attached) for which I paid Rs-6,500 INR. They gave me HP support agreement form and assured me that I will get HP care pack services certificate directly from the head office within two weeks. After a month when I didn’t get any certificate from the company, I called the same service centre. They told me that due to some technical problem my extended warranty will be applicable from the 1st of Jan 2012 onward. I had no other option than to wait till January 12. I had to wait for 5 months in spite of paying money.
    In January 2012 I called again your same service centre, where I got reply that my laptop is under HP care pack service & need not worry. Any problem in my laptop will be taken care of. When I asked him for the care pack certificate I was told that I will receive it directly from the company to my address. They again assured me that my laptop is under care pack and I can avail service any time; anywhere in India by producing the HP support agreement form which I got form the above service centre.
    Recently I had some problem in my laptop for which I went to the same service centre where I was told by the manager, Mrs Rajlakshmi that my laptop is not under care pack as it is not found to be registered online with extended warranty. I was socked to hear that. When I had shown them the agreement form which was given by the same service centre she told me that she will talk to her higher authority and asked me to come another day. Next day, when I went back to enquire about it she told me that my laptop is not under warranty and I can get my money back but no free service will be given to my computer. When I refused to take my money back she told me that ‘I cannot do anything and you do whatever you want’.
    I am a doctor by profession and working in a medical college in pondicherry which is 20 km away from the above service centre. Inspite of my busy schedule I had to go to your so called authorized service centre nearly ten times.
    This is the reality of your authorized service centre in pondicherry who are cheating and harassing the customers.
    I had not expected this kind of treatment from an authorized centre of an internationally recognized company.
    It is a physical, mental and economical harassment for me.

    Now I want to know what I am supposed to do?
    Shall I go to consumer forum / court?
    File an FIR?
    Reply as soon as possible so that I can proceed further.

    This is the only place i found my some experience to place with you…..
    I have purchased HP Pavillion G6 2008 Model…. its grate to c that its good looking laptop … but when i connect my internet with this laptop it asks to update installing with HP Support … being an unwareness i didn’t do and asked the person who sold it to me .. he replied not to update… its quite sufficient to work and working so no need to updates…. Can anyone help me how to know that Original Windows has been installed in my laptop even after a sticker of windows 7 is sticking on it… what should i do in this case and its drivers are vanishing selfly without giving any command…. i usually work on net so what precautions should i take while connecting net with laptop…. etc… plz. reply if someone having solutions of these kind of problems…..

    I purchased a HP Pavilion dv4 laptop on 10th of june, 2010. Still the laptop is in guarantee. I stay in Siliguri, Dist- Darjeeling. I got a laptop bag with it. After a span of 5 months the bag was torned out. I purchased the laptop from tirumala technosys and my invoice number of the bill is TT/0305/10-11. I then later went to tirumala technosys with the view that they would help me in this matter but they could not stating that it cannot be replaced. Further i would request you to please get me new bag for my laptop else i would file a case in consumer court againts your company.

    For HP service I can only use one word. Hopeless, Utmost disappointing.

    Bought a HP Pavilion DM4 on 17th Sept for 50,000 INR. In five weeks laptop display showed some problems (flicker) couple of times. After five weeks systems stopped working as display was no more. It was not possible to change display properties thus laptop could not be connected to external display, horrible. Developers whole days work was just gone.
    HP did not provide replacement even for this defective laptop which stopped working in 5 weeks. HP took 18 days to get this display which was not orderable first week. Engineer came to change display and was not able to remove the old display. Almost 45 min he tried to open the lower panel and remove keyboard panel. He tried to open gently then forcibly pushing lower panel/laptop panel components but he could not open. He was not aware of four screws HP uses on each corner of the laptop.
    After this new display was placed system stopped working after two working days saying system fan is not functioning properly. I guess the forcibly pushes of that engineer might have displaced the fan position or it could be just defective laptop.
    Another HP engineer came to repair this heating problem and he also did not know about the four screws which need to be opened first. He also opened small components of this system and then tried to open forcibly the lower panel. HP send another engineer to help him open the same.
    Now I am sitting with this unstable laptop which can stop functioning any time as those two engineers (who couldn’t open the laptop) made a report that system is working fine. Laptop was switched off for overnight thus heating problem can’t be reproduced.

    This all happened in front of my eyes. No wonder that they do in their service center. This is the service HP provided to a 5 weeks old laptop what could be the case if it was more then a year old laptop?

    Purchasing A Brand New Laptop of HP is Pleasure for a Middle Class Family but it is now Panic for me due to Damage-Scratches during the time of Servicing at HP Service Center.

    After purchasing a Laptop there was a defect at Left Hand Side – Side Strip & LapTop Leg in-balance, for this I was contact to you { Mr. Ravi Patel } after showing this Problem he was explained to me that it was purchased in Jun 10 so for Hardware Problem, this was done by me {RP} log the call online so – logging the call it would take nearby 25 Days but till the time call was not logged.

    After that, I meet personally to Him & he assure me & take My Laptop{ at that time No Scratch & damage on my front desk of Laptop as confirmed with Mr. Ravi Patel } and arrange for Servicing at HP Help Desk on 9th Oct 2010 vide Doc No. 4404. The same day evening I received it & found that Laptop Defect remains the Same.

    Again I call to Mr. Ravi , Received the Address of HP Help Desk & go for Servicing on 18th Oct 2010 vide Doc No. 4580. First time I was Visit HP Service Centre, he give me time line that Please come at 21st Oct 2010 . Then I was go on 21st Oct 10 & found that Staff & Engineer’s Response is Very Very Very Bad & Roughly – even they people not ready to listen my problem & say that “Saheb aama koij defect nathi”, evenif he also feel & found that there is “Leg INbalance & Side Strip has not fit Properly” Also at the front side below the LCD Screen having too Scratch . I saw that why this Scratch was Happen , at that time Mr. Piyush Said that “When there is working & it will increase the Temperature due to Heating & for this Heating this Scratch will Happed & also this also will happened that in future whole screen below the LCD Screen. i.e. there is Manufacturing fault.

    Then I explain to Mr Jigar for Leg –In-balance Problem, Jigar is feel & quite agree with this problem but not accept & says that IT IS EVERYTHING OK .

    Next day Morning , I also visit for the same Place , because the defect was passed ahead from the Original Location, Again the Engineer comes & says that “This is mental Block of your Mind, Once you found that this was Defect , so every time you see- the same thing was happed & you see that there was defect” . After hearing this , without any explanation given to this engineer , I was wake-up from HP Help Desk. —

    This is the best Experience of Response & Behavior , I feel at “World Class HP Brand” Service Point.

    This is too Penic for me.

    Today(25th Oct 2010), again I met with Mr. Ravi, & explain the same defect – he will fully agree that yes this was defect & problem remains the same.

    Please look into the same & solved this Manufacturing Defect. {Hope you people is not Saying that “This is my mental Block regarding This Defect }
